sports GPA

is sports considered a 5.0 or a 4.0 GPA?

sports isnt allowed into ur gpa..its only core academic classes and uc aproved classes

are you sure?

go look up uc a-g courses to find out which ones are acceptable

I'm a counselor. UC will average your academic courses (listed on a-g list) from grades 10-12.

Do you mean gym class or an actual sports team?
either way, I don't see how that could be counted towards your GPA. Sports are part of your extracurriculars, not academics.

Yeah, I don't think sports were counted into my gpa.

sports are definitely not, nor are things like teachers assistant, food science, and some other classes that you will have to look up on the A-G list.

then how does taking a sports help? i took a sport last year and it was hard cause i had to get home later then everyone and then i had to wake up earlier than most people cause i take an extra "extracurricular class" in the morning.

they don't at all for UC's nor do privates count them either. by having sports you just appear more well rounded and you have the few stellar athletes from each school who can be recruited into the top schools/athletic programs. So you have to factor sports out of your gpa : (. i know, having the extra A's would help but unfortunately they dont.
