how big is lehigh on sports. is there alot of school spirt like there would be at a state school?

Tons of school spirit.

Football games are pretty big.

Haven’t been to a basketball/lacrosse/soccer game though.

==

Don’t expect the SEC though, we’re a tiny school compared to some of them :)

Lehigh is a very spirited school, but it is a medium sized school known for its academics. You really cannot compare it to a large sports orientated school.

At the heart of Lehigh sports is Lehigh Wrestling, a top ten program for decades…

The fans at Lehigh are just crazy for them team

watch the video as Lehigh beat #1 ranked Cornell in front of 3,274 screaming Lehigh fans at Lehigh’s Stabler arena. Pay close attention to the last match in which NCAA Heavyweight Champion Lehigh’s Zack Rey destroys the Cornell wrestler in front of a standing, cheering crowd:

I have a daughter who is an athlete and I’ve been very pleasantly surprised at the school spirit. The athletes also seem very supportive of each other!!! It’s a tremendous time commitment and having the support and understanding of your peers is a big positive. Lehigh does a great job at encouraging camaraderie amongst the athletes. Many are placed in the same dorm, Dravo, and there were fun programs first semester for the first-year athletes to get to know each other.

I have no way of comparing the school spirit with a larger state school but I can say that a smaller school like Lehigh gives you the added advantage of knowing many of the athletes that you are cheering for on the court or the field. I think that’s a nice plus!
