What high school sports look good on college resumes? I know all sports require a great amount of your time, but, what looks better?

Also, which looks better holding a job or playing a sport? Track interfears with my work schedule, so just wondering.

honestly...who cares what sport looks "best". play the one you like most. same with the job. do which you like better. or maybe work but not a lot of hours and play the sport. lots of yale applicants im sure have both. but don't worry about which looks best...especially with sports. one doesn't look necessarily better than the other.

I admire you, I can't imagine working - track won't allow that for me.

I think a sport only looks good if you are really good at it - states, nationals, etc.
Otherwise, it has to be a unique sport, perhaps crew, lacrosse, fencing, handball? If you are good at that - even better.
Honestly, I think I would quit track if I did for college apps alone.
Can't really answer the work-sport thing.

Do you gain anything besides monetary rewards from the job? If so, the job is better.
