<p>I'm on the school's track&cross country teams and even though I'm terrible, I'm on a really good team (ranked in counties and states and whatever). Although I'm not good, to schools look at that and take into account that although I'm not one of the best, I dedicate A LOT of time to the sport (10 hrs of practice a week + meets)?</p>
<p>yes - dedication to a sport matters and will look good on a college app, even if youre not good enough to be recruited</p>
