Michigan has good teams in almost every sport. They are ranked in the top 10 of "students pack the statiums". Biggest stadium in the nation (107,501 is an underestimate). Greatest rivalry in sports, there is nothing better than going to the Michigan OSU game.

UCLA seems to be the best candidate for u (California)
great overall football + basketball + soccer combined

some others are: Indiana, Wisconsin, Maryland, North Carolina, Notre Dame ...

It's very hard to get tickets at schools like Texas or Florida or USC ...

Here is my list

Florida
USC
UCLA
UCB
Stanford (good at everything except football)
University of Washington
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Tennessee
Oregon
Duke & UNC (great for basketball, horrible for football)
Michigan
Texas
Washington State
Arizona
LSU
West Virginia
Wisconsin
Georgia Tech
Wake Forest

There are more but those are the only ones I can think of right now.

hey those are all great sports schools ( no one's mentioned Boston College yet?!?!?!?) , but dont forget the op also specifically mentioned volleyball and soccer, not just bball and football. that being said, the obvious school that fits that criterea is definetely USC.

boston college is not good in soccer (they ranked last in the ACC). For CA resident, the best fits is UCLA for those sports. USC is good in football but not great in basketball + soccer. UCLA on the other hand fits more. However both schools are great, even berkeley is great in sports too.

Let's see, Florida is the current national champions in football AND basketball. Can't go wrong there. And SoCal18, we are also the current ultimate frisbee champions and we have a great intramural sports system. Can't go wrong with Florida.

yea sorry i didn't mean BC for soccer, i meant for bball and football.

but USC is a powerhouse in football and volleyball. pretty good at bball, i thought they were good at soccer but guess not. Youre right how could I forget UCLA, how are they in soccer and volleyball though?

GatorEng - Yea but Floria is defnetely not going to be the nat'l champ in basketball at the end of march ;) haha.

Ah, we'll see. :)
You know I am getting partied out with all these championships, being a Florida fan is tiring. ;)

But hey, it's March Madness, stranger things have happened.

hahah yea I'm sure it's tiring.... dont worry you'll be missing it soon

curious... did you manage to get tickets to the SEC tourney? do they do a lottery for student tickets at Florida?

Yea, they have a lottery system for student tickets at Florida. But I am not going to the SEC tourney, I wish though. Most of the people I know who get tickets have good connections though. For the regular season though, you just have to make sure you are on your computer at a certain time and then you register for your seat. (and they're free) But they go within like the first 5 to 10 minutes. So it is somewhat of a struggle to get tickets at Florida, at least I think so.

What school do you go to?

EDIT: Actually I'm wrong, the lottery is for football. For basketball it is basically first come, first serve with a few restrictions.

* Students interested in attending the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament can purchase a student ticket at $10. Student tickets are sold per SESSION, meaning you are entitled to both games of the session in which Florida is playing.
* The first 30 UF students in line at the Georgia Dome that have attended eight (8) or more UF men’s home basketball games this year will be eligible to purchase a $10 student floor-level ticket BEHIND THE FLORIDA BAND for the session Florida plays in that day. Every other student thereafter will have to purchase a student ticket at $10 in the second level of the Georgia Dome. Any valid UF student can purchase a ticket to this event, even those who have not attended at least eight (8) home basketball games. However, only those that have attended at least eight (8) home games are eligible for the first 30 seats in Level One. ALL STUDENT SALES WILL TAKE PLACE THE DAY OF THE FLORIDA GAME or GAMES, AT THE GEORGIA DOME. A UF student may also purchase a $10, 200 level general admission ticket to any session of the tournament.
* Students can begin lining up for these seats starting at 9 a.m. the day of the game and no sooner outside the “Florida Student Ticket Sales” windows, located adjacent to Gate D, lower level. NO CAMPING OUT! Police officers will be at the Georgia Dome preventing any camp out situations.
* Students will need to bring their valid Gator One ID card to be scanned, as well as their driver’s license or a second form of picture ID to be able to purchase a ticket. Without these two forms of ID, a student WILL NOT be able to buy a ticket.
