Spots for Freshmen

<p>Hi guys. I was going over the schedule I wanted, and found that Math10B, B00 and every single one of its discussions is full, with around 5 people on waitlists. I know they open some spots for freshmen, but seeing as it's so full right now, do I even have a chance of getting into this class? Fortunately, I DO have an early reg time (August 25th, 12:40 PM), so that wont be an obstacle. </p>

<p>Basically, should I realistically be expecting to get in, or should I replace Math with something else?</p>

<p>My rule of thumb (which I learned on CC!) is that around 10% of a class will drop. 5 people on the waitlist is not bad at all. Now, on the other hand, when you have 30-40 people on the waitlist, you shouldn’t get your hopes up…</p>

<p>You should be fine if the waitlist remains around 5 people.</p>
