<p>My son lives with me. He goes to college this year. We are separated. I am paying spouse support to my estrange wife and child support for two yonger kids that live with her. WHen I filled in the FAFSA, there is no place to enter the spouse support payment I am mking to my estrange wife. My monthly spuse support payment is $1000.00. It is 12K per year. My EFC is 16K. Did I miss something, or EFC estimate does not take into consideration that I am paying spouse support to my estrange wife. I did not find a place where I can put aliumoni either. Any input? Thanks in advance.</p>
<p>Alimony you pay s/b reported on line 31a of your 1040 tax return so is already reflected in your AGI (which is the income you report on FAFSA).</p>
<p>If you pay any child support that is reported in question 92b on FAFSA.</p>
