<p>My S is a Spring 2010 admit, but his major was not mentioned in the acceptance letter, just that he was accepted to the college of letters & sciences but did not mention his intended major. Is this handled differently than the fall admits. He was trying to get into the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology</p>

<p>I believe that anyone that is admitted to L&S goes in as undeclared.</p>

<p>fact. L&S treats all incoming students as undeclared. MCB department lists the courses that must be completed before you declare that as your major, typically at the end of second year. Look at the department web site as well as the L&S advising site to learn more.</p>
