but i think it can be for fall or spring

@candy, I thought they mailed it the day of the initial date change. That makes a lot more sense, and would explain why I got nothing in the mail today.

Yeah, I think I could be for fall....I'm a theatre major and I got a special invitation to their open house in 2 weeks...wouldn't you think people would onyl send you that for fall??

I don't even think theatre has spring admits...

Althought my explore usc is only one event...but that could also be based on school

Well, i got my first update 3/22/09 and then the oasis link 3/25/09 and I can login to rsvp, but I haven't got anything in the mail yet. =( that's why I'm a little skeptical about all these theories.

for those who can log in to the RSVP site, how many events do you have?

i only have one event...these theories make me a little skeptical though

Last year some of the spring admits were later moved up to fall admits. Other schools sometimes use a ridiculously long waiting list with little or no hope of admission. At least you know you have been admitted. Your place is secure.
Perhaps some of the spring admit parents can post here about how the experience was for their seniors.

Does anyone know if theatre has a spring admits program? I didn't think so...?

I have gotten 2 status updates and the Oasis link. I don't know where to find the Explore USC link or the RSVP link - are they supposed to be on the Oasis page? HELP please! Thanks!

Candy45...

You're wrong. There are many people who got a 3/25 update...then got a 3/28 update with Oasis who cannot login to RSVP. I'm glad it's so "clear" to you but you are very much mistaken.

chs, I think candy's point was that no one who got the 3/26 update has been able to login to the RSVP yet.

Don't be rude chs.

I think candy was just saying he figured it out. Not that he was smarter than us or anything.

I don't think I'm going to USC if I'm admitted in the spring..that's ********. I'm going to Pepperdine instead

HMRacts1, me either. I'll be a Hoosier instead.

elizab, do u live in indy?

sorry elizab, i didn't mean to sound creepy. i was just wondering if any other hoosiers had gotten mail from usc, as i didn't today.

boss529, no not creepy at all! Don't worry about it :) But sorry, no, I live in MA.

Listen, for those of you who are spring admits...it's not at all such a bad thing. My D knows a couple from last year, who are now at USC this semester. They blended right in. One attended a UC for first semester, the other a local CC. Both were able to transfer some of their courses. Their graduation time will not be affected.
Three months is nothing in the big picture, the time passes quickly especially if you are busy with courses somewhere else.
And please do not consider yourselves second rate, it's just that there was no more room in the department but an indication that USC does want you. Plus there is still a chance you could be bumped to fall.
Think about it carefully especially if USC is your first choice.
