Thank you. So i see the deadline is Oct. 15th for Spring admission. Perfect, I want to apply. Could anyone please tell me if it is a match for me.

I would like to apply business or poly sci (which ever one I have a better shot at I am interested in both…)

Currently: Sophomore at Loyola Marymount University
College GPA: 3.6
Extracurriculars/Internships:
-President of 3 university dorm buildings
-Intern/Brand Analyst at a Marketing firm in Los Angeles
Recommendations:
-One from a professor
-One from the CEO of the company I intern at
Reason for transferring:
In the Spring of my Freshman year my father passed away. I had to return home for almost twenty days. I choose to go back to school and finish out the semester (getting a 3.6 even with all that was going on in my life). I would like to transfer to start fresh, somewhere with great academic opportunities, internships, etc.
Residency: Washington State

Thank you

bump please thank u!

Unfortunately the college of business is the exception because it does not accept spring transfers. It is also the most difficult college at the university to transfer into. As to poly sci, grades you have are good but there are a number of factors that go into decision including how many seats they have available and that varies from semester to semester and thus the particular difficulty to being able to transfer can vary significantly fropm one semester to the next. You also need to meet certain course requirments and should meet its recommended course requirements (Go to page 36 of this document: http://admissions.illinois.edu/pdf/transfer/handbook/las2.pdf</a> )
