Applied for the fall term, but I got moved to the spring term. Is this something that UF has done to applicants in the past? Is it meant at all to discourage accepted applicants from actually attending?

No, and yes other applicants in the past have been moved. To my guess, I think it is for the ones who already have college credit or was between denial or acceptance based on the posts I've seen on here. But you're in, if you want you, can work and save until then, or go to Santa Fe and get some of those courses out the way before you enroll in the Spring.

We have friends who this happened to last year. One of them wrote a letter and gave reasons about why they wanted to start in the Fall and the decision was changed. The other took classes at Santa Fe and just started in January. The time goes by so quickly and it's not really a big deal. Housing would be the only problem but apartments are really plentiful and cheap righ now. good luck.

Helpful Mom, how fast did your friend who got her decision changed appeal to UF?
