Hey you guys! I applied like a week ago for FSU as a transfer. Was wondering when I would hear back a response. I know its probably a rolling decision..

But has anyone on here heard yet? If so how long did it take?

Thanks! :)

anyone?

anyone?

:)

It is rolling. To get a general idea, you should search “transfer” on the main FSU page here and look around.

Judging by the amount of time you waited in between your first and second post, I can tell you’re going to be in for a long ride… lol
Try to have some patience! But good luck.

where are you transfering from?

yeah it’s hard to be patient when it’s the next two + years of my life… Lol. But palm beach state.

I hate to tell you, but for spring they are likely not going to look at your application until it is compete, including all transcripts with spring grades. If you are taking summer classes, they may not look at it until summer grades are in. And SOMETIMES, they will postpone a decision until fall grades are in. Yes, that means sometimes you hear with 2-3 weeks to go before spring term begins.

What is your major? Will you have your AA from a Florida State College or Community College? Are you on MAP for your major? What is your GPA? How many hours have you completed now? How many will you have completed at the end of Fall 2011? This will help us to know when you might get a decision.

Those who are on track to get their AA, who have a great GPA, and who are on MAP and have meet all the requirements for the major hear the earliest. The application is reviewed first by Admissions and then by the department of your major.

If you are transferring with less than 60 hours/no AA you will have to meet BOTH freshman and transfer admissions requirements and submit all high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores etc.

Major is sociology, GPA is 3.56, and yes I will have all required courses complete as well as my A.A. completed.

From a florida state college btw.

How many hours have you completed as of now? Are you taking summer classes?

Ive completed 48, and after summer 49.

You might not hear a response until October/November.

anyone hear anything yet?

When you sign in, what does it say under application status?

I think it just says that like all my stuff has been received. should I send in my transcript that has new summer grades?

Call the office of admissions before you send anything else. They will let you know if anything else is necessary.

thanks ! I did now they said I have to call the college which I applied to . omg

it says your application is ready for review.

what does that mean?!

It means that both the admissions office and the college you are applying to will now review. They do not need more materials and they have what they need. Now you just have to wait.

waiting… worst part!
