CIS-435 Fundamentals of MS Visio (1.50)
GUID-3 Career Explore/Planning (3.00)
MATH-425 Intermediate Algebra (4.00)
MUSIC-4 Music Appreciation (3.00)

17.5 semester units

Ok I think I have my schedule for the winter quarter. I am currently a 2nd year biology major.

Bio Sci 98: Biochemistry (intro to biochemistry for 2nd years; after this I’ll decide whether to switch my major to biochemistry and molecular biology or not)

Chem 125: Advanced Organic Chemistry (my first upper division class; I hope there’s not going to be a lot of synthesis because I am terrible at that. Also a new professor to my university is teaching it)

Physics 7C: Classical Physics (calculus based intro to mechanics; hopefully I’ll avoid all the premeds fighting for As and gain a more theoretical understanding)

Physics 7LC: Classical Physics Laboratory (apparently this is easy)

Sociol 2: International Sociology (my 2nd sociology class after intro to sociology; just in case I want to take the new MCAT exam (I think I’ve studied enough psychology))

My classes start at 9 a.m. and I have a 4 hour gap in the middle. I really don’t like this but it’s the only way I can get all of these classes.

I’m a psychology major.

BIO 222: Biology: The Living Science. A required class for my major. I’m peeved because this fulfills gen ed requirements that I’m taking another class for this semester. (3 credits)

BIO 223: Lab for above. It’s optional, I guess. (1 credit)

POS 273: International Relations. This is for my gen eds, but I plan on transferring next fall so I guess at this point I’m just taking it because it looks interesting and would transfer well. (3 credits)

PSY 245: Principles of Psychological Research. I’ve been looking forward to this class since I started college. I’m very interested in research and I hope to get a lot out of this. (3 credits)

PSY 361: Sensation and Perception. This is a cognitive class, which is the area I’m especially interested in. I got permission to take this class before I would have been able to so I’m a bit nervous. (3 credits)

WST 103: Intro to LGBT Studies. The teacher has a mixed reputation but the subject matter should be good. (3 credits)

16 credits total.

Second semester freshman year. Chemical engineering major

Physics 2211: Classical physics I: Newtonian mechanics, fluid mechanics, basically everything that isn’t electricity and magnetism; there’s a lab once a week with this class

Calc 1502: Calc II; supposedly I got a really nice and easy professor for calc so I’m really excited about that. The material in the class is still really hard though I’ve heard

Chem 1212K: Basically gen chem II for chemical engineers and biomedical engineers; there’s a lab once every week that goes with this class

Spanish 3101: Conversation I: getting pretty nervous about this class because I haven’t spoken (or seen for that matter) any spanish since the AP exam back in May. Hoping there will be a slight refresher early in the semester

English II: yea english II. thank goodness this is the last english class I will EVER have to take in my life. hopefully I pass it. I HATE english with a brutal passion. writing essays is not my forte…

18 total credit hours…leggo
