Hi guys!
It has been about half a month since the international deadline so I guess it's time to start a thread!

Bumping this!

I’m surprised that one has been started yet. Good initiative!

I’ve told a few of my friends about GS, and a few have expressed interest for the spring semester, but aren’t sure about the GSAE schedules (since a new one hasn’t been posted yet). We’re on the west coast - does anyone know when the GSAE may come out here?

Bump.

Shouldn’t this be a more relavent thread in this sub-forum at the moment than it currently is?

This thread is pretty quiet…hopefully everyone is just busy finalizing their essays for the early decision deadline. ;)

Well it seems there are some errors in the new application management system.

I submitted my part II like 2 months ago ONLINE but the gs admission office has just emailed me that they had not received it… I just checked it online and yes I did submit it. How could this happen lol

preparing to submit mine now…wish me luck!

I submitted Part I of my application on September 10th and Part II this afternoon.

Good luck to all the applicants. What a great privilege, huh? Sending you all lots of positive energy. :-)

Has anyone received the notice of admission?

Though it’s been just 2 days after early action deadline, it’s been one and a half month since the deadline of internationals.

I see the thread has 1,700 views. I don’t blame you guys. I lurked for an entire year. lol

So nervous! I’m checking my door and my mail every day even though I know it’s super early for a decision. I got my last official final transcript in on Oct. 18th and the transcript from my current institution is listed as pending/provisional. I’m guessing from what I’ve read that it’s because I still have classes in progress.

Good luck, everyone.

Deadline has passed. I hope everyone has been able to successfully submit his/her applications. Let’s keep our hopes high awaiting good news. Good luck to everyone.

2,000 views and only a dozen posts, is anybody hearing anything?!? Anybody get any requests for an interview or anything? I applied early decision at the very end of Sept. Still can’t log into the financial aid website and haven’t gotten anything in the mail either way.

I can log into the fin. aid page since 2 days ago, but I’m not getting any official notification yet.
Can I take it I’m in?

Based on what people who have applied in the past have posted, if you are able to log into the financial aid website then you have been accepted, just be on the lookout for the fedex package or an e-mail which confirms it!! I was curious though, when you log in are you entering your student ID and your birthdate or are you clicking “first time user”? When I do the former I can log in and change the security questions but when I do the latter it says my account cannot be activated…

Hey guys congrats on being able to login! Just wondering when did you get your application marked as “complete” in the application track system?

Everything on my “Track Your Application” page still says received. I expect that won’t change at any point even after a decision has been made.

Hey guys I haven’t heard anything yet. Wujin, what do you mean by typing birthdate. I was confused about the form MMDDCCYY what does CC represent?

Hugh, it was my first time to see a date written that way as well. I assume cc means century. To log in, enter your CUID/PID (Columbia University ID/Personal ID) (C123456789) and enter your birthday monthdayyear (11062013)

I applied early action but I still can’t log into my financial aid yet…I think I am rejected

I would give it til at least the end of this week. The way I figured it they pretty much have to have made all of the decisions by close of business Friday in order to start to send out all of the notifications in time for people to get them by the 15th. Also, I believe I have seen in the past some people who applied early action get notified of their acceptance along with the regular decision applicants later in the year. So if an application isn’t strong enough to be accepted early they may look at it again after reviewing all of the submissions. Anyway, you’re still in the running until you’ve received a rejection notice, hang in there!!
