Spring 2015 Transfer Questions

Hi. I am currently a female freshman at Fordham University enrolled as a psych major. I submitted my transfer application to Rutgers New Brunswick a few days before the deadline. I am also on the Cheerleading team. My questions are:

How long will it take for Rutgers to reply?
I had gotten accepted senior year - does that boost my chances?

High School Credentials:
1750 SAT
4.65 GPA W
3.6 UW
Rank 3 of 161
100 + hours of community service
NHS for 2 years
Varsity Cheerleading - 4 Years (Captain Senior Year)

I'd like to transfer in Rutgers - NB School of Arts and Sciences for the Psych Program.
I currently am attempting 18 credits in Philosophy, Biology, Chemistry, and History at Fordham.
I really want to go to Rutgers. I made a mistake choosing Fordham as it is not the school for me.
Thank you all in advance.

You should have an online decision by December 5. Getting accepted or rejected your senior year neither helps nor hurts your chances as a transfer student - the applicant pool constantly changes depending on the school you are applying to.

You can find out more information about that here:

Sorry to hear that it didn’t work out for you at Fordham. I’m confident that, if accepted, you’ll have a wonderful time here at Rutgers!

If you have any questions, feel free to message me!

All the best,
