wait I forgot that I did wow I am so sleep-deprived I forgot.

Since the deadline was pushed back this cycle we can assume that decisions will be pushed back as well

@DukeSilver17 Was it really? I had the impression that Cornell deadlines were always on the 15th of whichever month. That’s how the fall transfer deadlines were for fall 2014 transfer.

@rdlp123 nah it was October 1st last year I’m pretty sure. I asked the admissions office when I visited and they said this cycle they were pushing the deadline back because they didn’t receive most mid-term reports by oct. 1 so it didn’t make sense to have the deadline oct. 1. But I could be wrong

@DukeSilver17 They’re still not going to get many midterm reports by October 15! Oh Cornell haha.

I just realized one of the professors that I mentioned in my supplemental essay is now emeritus aka not teaching anymore. UGHHH I’m going to sound like a dumb ass!

Hi guys! I’m also looking to transfer into Cornell next spring! Wish I found this thread sooner haha. I’m looking at Economics at the College of Arts and Sciences, as I am currently on the Economics track at New York University Shanghai. I’m really worried that my GPA is very low- a 3.0. My recommendation is coming from the ex-President of Cornell (he’s a professor at my school) but he still hasn’t submitted it yet so I’m a bit worried. My ECs are okay, nothing that great, I think my essay portion was pretty good.

There’s also no way I can submit my midterm report in October. My one class doesn’t take the midterm till next week and then I have to mail it from China.

Nice to meet you all and good luck to all of you!

Cornell received my midterm and college reports!

@hardcoregamer When did you submit in the midterm? I sent mine like 2 weeks ago by email, and it hasn’t been processed yet…

I also sent mine 2 weeks ago but through the mail around the same time I had my college report sent

Just send it as a pdf through email guys it’s faster.

@rdlp123 I did that, too. Is yours already processed?

@rdlp123 I did that. Was yours already processed?

Thanks for the response, @DreamSchlDropout. I’m applying to the College of Arts and Sciences, I’m not sure how competitive that is compared to the other colleges. Ended up a little lower than I wanted with midterm grades, 2 B’s, A-, and 2 As since apparently some professors just round grades for midterm or just arbitrarily assign them because “Don’t worry about it! Midterm grades don’t matter!” So that’s about a 3.5 at midterm, and I don’t know how heavily they weigh that. Like I said, I have very strong essays and a solid GPA at my last school, so I’m hoping for the best. It’s going to be a long semester until I know for sure, haha. =)

Thanks for the heads up about the non-traditional student forum, I’m checking it out now!

@rdlp123: What email address did you submit it to, out of curiosity? I just sent mine to undergradapp@cornell.edu based off of the bottom of http://admissions.cornell.edu/contact/application-mailing-instructions, but wasn’t sure if it was right since it’s just an unofficial .pdf of my grades and not a full official transcript but I couldn’t find another email to send it to. (My college doesn’t put midterm grades on official transcripts)

what school is everyone applying to? I’m applying to ILR

CALS

I just submitted my midterm report again via email because they told me to resend them. How long did it take for you guys who did it by email to get them processed?

@Hola1357 I sent mine in Monday and it just got cleared today.

@fortsibut I sent it to transfer@cornell.edu
@hardcoregamer I am applying to CAS
