Spring 2015 Transfer

Anyone apply for spring 2015 transfer to GS? If so have you heard yet?

I just submitted my application! Have you?

Submitted mine on Sept, 26 and haven’t heard of anything now except that it is still in review. I am an international.

Submitted mine EA before the Oct. 1st deadline. From what I’ve seen on previous threads, this is around the time they start releasing EA and international decisions. Getting anxious! Good luck!

WHOOAH, the time is killing me. When are you going to release notifications, GS?! Huh?

I know! I got a missed call yesterday from a 646 area code, although I don’t think that it was Columbia. Hopefully they start sending out decisions soon, I’m grinding my teeth to dust in anticipation. Where are you from?

I’m from South Korea. Dude, I’ve called GS several times, but they do not even answer the phone. ;;; AHhh Please! hahaha…

Oh nice! I called yesterday and the woman gave me the generic “4-6 weeks after the date of submission” response. I might e-mail them and ask for an expedited decision. My boss has been breathing down my neck the past few weeks, he needs to know if I’m going to be leaving in January so he can find a replacement haha. What are you planning on majoring in if you’re accepted?

I’ll be probably majoring in econs. How about you?

Philosophy probably

Have you guys heard back from gs?
I still haven’t heard back from them and finaid/fedex tracking did not work for me. I guess I am rejected.

I still haven’t heard anything. The finaid/tracking thing doesn’t work for me either so either we’re both rejected or they’re running behind on admissions again. For optimism’s sake, I’m putting stock in the second option haha. When did you apply?

I applied in late september. Did anybody else hear back from gs?

@kai026,

For regular admission, applicants are notified approximately 6-8 weeks after submission, so if you applied in late September, you are still within that range. Good luck!

How about for internationals? I’ve been waiting for a long time, but haven’t got any words, except that it is still in review.

@DesireforCGS,

International students are also notified within approximately 6-8 weeks after a complete application is submitted, with spring admissions decisions being sent out on a rolling basis through December 15. When did you complete your application?

Its been already 7 weeks. Also the one of the admission officers said that my decision will be made today, but when I called around 10 am., they said “WAIT” again. Its a bit strange.

Hey, I have another question.
Will the decision only be notified via mail?
Any chances it will be notified by email?

I am confused of the way of notification. Because the officers kept saying that it will be mailed, not emailed. But a lot of people on the Internet are saying they got acceptance from email.
Strange.

Back in 2010, I was notified via telephone call, and then I received the packet a few weeks later. I’m not sure if this has changed however. Also, again back in 2010, if you gained admittance, but have yet to receive a phone call/packet, some were able to log into the financial aid website.

Good Luck!

Thanks y’all. Imma check this out on Friday again, since they said the decision will be made by Weds, but till today, they have no action. I will wait a day and ask them about this situation.

I can log into FA as of this morning… Cautiously optimistic!
