Spring 2015 Transfers

Figured I'd start a new thread in light of the common app launching earlier this week!
What are your stats and what school/major are you applying to?

Mine:
3.44 GPA
Probably applying as an Economics major

Good luck to all!

I am currently a Sophmore applying for the spring semester  …Bouvé College of Health Sciences! Good luck! :)

Hi! Currently a junior/middler applying for the spring semester. 3.4 GPA to Bouve’ in Health Sciences! Does anyone know if it’s rolling?

It’s not rolling, they don’t start evaluating applications until everyone submits theirs.
Good luck to you all!

Applying to Northeastern University for the spring with my A.A. which is 60 credits. I am applying to the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice with a 3.95. I got a 31 on the ACT and I have stellar recommendations from the chairs of two departments at my community college in FL. I have many EC’s and I will probably write my essay on my plans to be a private investigator! Would someone here mind chancing me so far?

I am very very nervous about applying for the spring and am afraid it will be a waste of time. How competitive is it to transfer into the school of criminology and criminal justice? Insight from a current NEU’er would be wonderful!

I’d say you’re in!

anyone know the average gpa for the business school? thanks in advance,

Does anyone know how competitive the Anthropology department is? I’ve looked everywhere for average GPA and number of students in the program, but Northeastern doesn’t provide as much information as some other schools. I’m nervous because I went through an unfortunate situation during the summer semester that ended with a D in a class which brought my GPA down tremendously. I explained the situation in the section provided on the Common App, and hopefully they’ll see by my grades that I am not a D student and take that into consideration. Anyway, I’d just like to get a better idea of where I stand. Any information helps! Thanks :)

has anyone heard back yet!!! I am applying to Bouve for nursing… 3.88 gpa

nope, but it looks like I’m “locked out”, as I can’t check my status. Guess this means I should find out tomorrow!

awkwardkat any news?!!

I just got locked out this morning as well. Does anyone know how long the wait period is between being locked out and finding out??

Accepted. Safety lol. Pretty hefty scholarship though.

i was denied :frowning:

Hey guys! So I’m applying for fall of '15, but Im butting into your thread because this one is actually active. For those who got in and got denied, what were your stats? I’m at 3.4 college GPA after my first semester with a 29 ACT from high school. I have no idea what to expect since I’m very much so in the middle/lower area of people that usually accepted… So if anyone could post their stats that hasn’t alreasy that would be really helpful  thank you!!

Hi guys! I was recently accepted as a sophomore into Bouvé College of Health Sciences for the spring semester of 2015. So excited!

I got in as well! Super excited! Good luck everyone!

Would those of you who got in post your gpa’s? It would give those who haven’t heard back yet a good idea where we stand.

If anybody is entering the school of criminal justice and criminology within the college of arts and science, lemme know. K?

To make everyone feel a little more confident, I was accepted into the College of Social Sciences and Humanities with a 3.2 GPA. Surprised I got in? Yeah I was too. However, I had an explanation for my low GPA, but did not present it as an excuse which was definitely important. I also had very good recommendation letters, and from what teachers, friends, and family who read it told me, a great essay. To be honest I think my essay is what really did it for me. I obviously don’t know the criteria or prestige of each college within Northeastern, so GPA will obviously vary depending on what you’re going for. I’m studying Anthropology which I know isn’t one of the most competitive majors at the school, but nonetheless I’m happy to have gotten in at all! Just remember we all come from different situations so you can’t really go by my stats. I was on this forum thinking I didn’t have a chance because of the outstanding GPAs that some people were denied with. At this point I think anything is possible for anyone! Still, I hope this helps a little, and best of luck to all of you!
