Spring 2016 CS transfer

I’m planning to apply to Texas A&M this coming August as a transfer from a local community college. I’m planning to attend their Computer Science program to pursue a bachelors in CS. I have 9 years work experience, I’m a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and have a 3.8 GPA with 52 credits thus far. What are my chances of getting in? I don’t have any volunteer experience, however I am a math tutor in between my job and school. Thanks guys!

You should be able to get in easily. I am a EE, and we have quite a few students doing Computer Engineering on the CS track so they often interact with CS students. I myself took a CS class and was able to talk to CS students all of whom said that CS was a “dying field” at tamu thus they are very lenient on acceptances since not a lot of people are interested in CS at tamu. It also isn’t highly coveted since it isn’t ranked in the top 10.

What about 3.45 GPA with 28 credits @tamuEE175
