I’m looking into transferring to another school for academic reasons, just finished freshmen year at University of Miami. Unfortunately their Public Health program doesn’t suit me and I think it’s time for a transfer during my sophomore year. The only problem is that in my fall semester of freshmen year I had an extremely terrible transition into college being an international student, everything was difficult to adjust to and ended up with a 2.57 GPA. However, in my second semester I ended up with a 3.85 GPA with a total cumulative right now of 3.1 GPA.
I’m thinking of transferring to Emory, Michigan, Rochester, or Case Western. I know the 2.57 is ruining my chances greatly but I’m wondering how colleges take on the ‘freshmen forgiveness’?
