I was just wondering if anyone got a response from Lafayette college spring 2016 transfer. Or if you know when the letter will be coming out ? Please let me know
If it isn’t posted on the website, I’d call admissions and ask when you can expect to hear back.
I got my acceptance letter yesterday.
congrats!
When did you submit your application? Did the acceptance arrive in the mail?
Thanks! My attendance is contingent upon a financial aid award appeal, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I submitted my application on Nov. 1 and the application arrived in the mail. I live within a couple hours of the college, though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it took several days longer for applicants from other regions to receive their acceptances.
Good luck with the financial aid, and congrats!
Thanks, good luck to you as well!
Was your financial aid award a lot different that the net price indicator?
It was, but I’m an “independent student” (25 y.o. and self-supporting). Unfortunately, they factored my parents income into my aid award, so I have to address that. From what I understand, though, Lafayette is pretty generous, so I wouldn’t worry too much if you’re a “typical” student.
Thanks for you input. My son applied early decision and we hope to hear something soon.
Have any other spring transfer applicants not heard back yet?
@birdmam - Just to clarify, for freshman applicants, I believe Lafayette guarantees that they will fully meet your demonstrated need. That guarantee doesn’t exist for transfer students, which is why my situation is different. Don’t let my situation discourage you.
Yes, my son is applying as a freshman. The net price indicator showed a generous FA amount.
I still haven’t heard anything. Did anyone else not hear anything back for spring transfer student 2016?
Hi. Maybe you should call today to ask.
As suggested, I would have called Lafayette a month ago – I’d certainly call now.
