Spring 2017: Transfer Application

@Brohare sounds like they are now beginning to process your application. The best thing to do is try calling the colleges directly and keep an eye on the portal/ hotline. Hopefully, you get some good news before November is up.

@crimbot have you gotten the letter yet?.

@queens12 I’m still playing the waiting game mines has yet to update

@Bcs313 lol, waiting is so nerve wrecking.

Just got my CUNY Portal updated and I think I am able to register for classes when the enrollment period begins.

I am just waiting to gain access to my IT stuff and Degree Audit.

Hopefully, a credit evaluation will be completed when I am ready to register.

Did you pay your deposit already?

Hopefully, you get an update next week.

If any of you guys live in the NYC area, I definitely recommend going right into the admissions office of your schools! I’d heard on the hotline that Hunter had made a decision, but I hadn’t gotten an email and no one would tell me the decision when I called, so I just went to Hunter and they told me I got in right away. Still no email though :frowning:

Good luck everyone!

Hunter is not sending out emails until next week. That’s what I found out when I called.

@pisces314 did your portal update past the whole 8-10 weeks part before you went down and checked?

@Bcs313 Yep. Yesterday, got the commitment form from Brooklyn College and sent it this morning to them. Now I am just waiting until CunyFirst changes to Brooklyn College and I’m on their list so I can make a BC Webcentral account.

@crimbot ok hopefully mines is in there today if not I’ll call on Monday to find out what’s going on.

@Bcs313 you haven’t gotten your commitment form?

@crimbot nope probably because it’s being mailed to Georgia

Hi guys, did anyone hear back from Hunter college? I am a student at city college and I applied for Spring 2017 transfer to 3 colleges; Baruch, Hunter and Brooklyn (in order). I called the CUNY hotline and in the end it says ‘Hunter College’ and idk if it means I got accepted.

Hey, did anyone apply to City Tech and get a response from them? I called CUNY on Friday and they said that everything is processed but no decision and to call City Tech. I talked to someone at the admission office at City Tech and they said I got accepted and they don’t know why I didn’t get any notice from them yet. I applied around August and I’m getting a little nervous.

@jle7201 You got accepted to Hunter College, because the hotline for everyone I’ve seen it’s whatever college you hear that you’ve been accepted to. As for hearing back from them, I would contact their admissions office.

@crimbot The CUNY hotline said that I’ll be notified by the college within 2 weeks. Should I still contact their admissions office?

@jle7201 the “you’ll hear back in 2 weeks” doesn’t really mean anything. The hotline has been saying that for me for over a month. I heard from someone else on this thread that Hunter said they were gonna send out acceptance emails this week though.

Okay, thanks guys. I have one more question. I am fairly new to this and I picked liberal arts and sciences for the major into Hunter. Could I change the major once in the college or am I stuck with it? I didn’t know what major I wanted to pursue so I just picked liberal arts, but now I have an idea of what I want to do.

@jle7201 yes you can change

Hopefully this is the week we all get answers!! Good luck everyone

Good luck to you too. Hope the CUNY hotline college name in the end is accurate for me.
