Spring 2017: Transfer Application

@jle7201 http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/advising/how-to/how-to-declare-a-major

@lowe22 No problem it takes a while for them to update. Patience is a virtue

@jle7201 when I was sent the link they ask you again what major you’re intending to get. You can always call admissions and see as well

Thanks @queens12 .
@bosslady28 . Wait what link are you talking about?

@jle7201 the email stating you’ve been accepted there is a link indicating to view your acceptance letter, commit to Hunter etc.

@queens12 Thanks for all the help so far! Were you notified that your CAMS account was working or did you keep trying/checking and it worked one day?

I’m just worried that by the time I am able to sign into CAMS and get the documents that all the available spots for majoring in computer science will be taken up and they won’t let me in!

@dummy27 I checked everyday. Lol

I don’t think they reject anyone from the program, but you might not get the required Classes in Computer Science this semester.

Did you see a registration date on your CUNYfirst?

@queens12 lol then I will check everyday!!

I hope that I’m not rejected. It’s the only thing I’m interested in.

And I just checked my CUNYfirst and it says my registration date is tomorrow at 6 PM! Which I find weird because the link you posted earlier says registration for transfers is the 14. When does yours say?

@bosslady28 . During advisement or orientation, does Hunter need to see my paper copy of my transcript or they already have it since I’m already attending a CUNY?

@dummy27 Mine says 5:30pm. I am not sure if they changed the dates, but I am not complaining. Better chance of getting good classes before everything gets filled up.

@queens12 I’m not complaining either lol. My credit evaluation hasn’t been posted yet so I don’t know if I’ll be able to register anyway. All the courses I need have a bunch of prerequisites and it won’t allow you to register without them since they haven’t transferred over yet.

@dummy27 that’s true! you have to wait for the credit evaluation. Did you meet all the Pathways/ College option criteria yet? Maybe you can take register for those classes for now and wait until you receive the credit evaluation and then register for the classes for your major. At least you will have a back up.

When is your transfer orientation?

@jle7201 I’m not sure maybe you should have it just in case

@queens12 I believe I have those done already but I’m not sure. How long did it take for your credit evaluation?

@dummy27 I think it was within 2 weeks of accepting the intent to enroll.

So i Got an email today from the Baruch Testing Center for a math placement exam. Does anyone know if this means I was accepted? A little confused because i have not received an acceptance letter through mail or email yet.

@Bcs313 Were you able to make the appointment? I have mine scheduled on the 29th this month.

Hello everyone, I applied to transfer from city college to baruch for the spring semester. I called the hotline and it said a decision has been made by Baruch, and I read in one of the forums that the school you hear on the hotline accepted you. But it has almost been two weeks and I have not gotten my acceptance letter/email, but I recieved an email for a math placement exam. Does this mean I got accepted?

@annalee97 . Pretty sure u did. My hotline said hunter college and I got in. Im at city college right now too btw.

@annalee97 The same situation with me and the city college. I called hotline and they told me that acceptance letters will be sent next week. Try calling admissions of Baruch, they can confirm that you got in=)
