@queens12 did you have to pay a commitment deposit to get your credit evaluation?
@dummy27 No, they never asked for a deposit!
I even registered for some classes yesterday and I didn’t encounter any problems.
Give it a few more days.
@jle7201 okay thank you!
@slavon thank you so much!
@crimbot Yeah, I have mines scheduled for next month since that’s when I move up there. I’m waiting for my credit evaluation to be done so I’ll know what’s going to transfer over
Did anyone here receive any notice from Hunter for their orientation and advisement dates yet?
@annalee97 Let me know if you receive an email first. I haven’t received yet.(
@queens12 Were you able to use/activate your queens college email account?
@dummy27 yes!
try this: (If it doesn’t work, maybe CAMS need to be activated first)
How do I login to Office 365?
Your login name for Office 365 is your CUNYfirst Username followed by “@Qmail.cuny.edu”
Example: John.Doe25@qmail.cuny.edu
Your password is your CUNYfirst password.
@slavon okay! ill keep you posted
@dummy27 Went to Transfer Orientation yesterday. There was a 45 minuses orientation on how to access CUNYfirst, CUNY Portal, Blackboard, General Ed requirements, College option requirements, how many credits must be taken at QC etc. Since you are already a CUNY students, there is hardly anything new to learn about.
Advisement only took a few minutes because I had everything in order. All the adviser really did was go over the transfer credits and advise on what classes needs to be taken. They will give you a form with the credits that you have already completed and what else is needed before advisement.
I would say everything took an hour.
After orientation, I went to get my Declaration of Major signed by the department and submitted it for processing to the One Stop Center. I also got my ID at the One Stop Center.
I will be transferring to Hunter College next semester from City College of New York. Does anyone know what happens when I change my primary college to Hunter College on blackboard? Since I am still taking classes at City College, will that affect anything?
I meant on CUNY portal, not blackboard. Sorry lol
@jle7201 I’m currently a CUNY student too, transferring to Hunter. I changed my primary school to Hunter on CUNY Portal with no problem. It basically shows you the same things, all your classes your currently enrolled in etc, but after doing this I was able to access my credit evaluation and transcripts from Hunter in the Student Center section.
@lowe22 . Okay. My professors post my exams and homework grades on blackboard from City College. Will I still be able to see them when I change my primary school to Hunter?
@jle7201 Blackboard will not change to Hunter until the semester is over.
Okay, thanks @queens12
@slavon hello! I received my acceptance letter today in the mail! it should be coming this week
Hello,
im an international student and I applied at around August, still waiting for a decision has anyone heard anything yet? I applied to City college
@queens12 Thanks for the update! I got so caught up in this semesters classes this past week lol.
My orientation is next week on December 2nd. It was the earliest that was available at the time. I haven’t registered for any classes yet since I haven’t gotten my credit evaluation yet, it’ll be 2 weeks since my acceptance on Tuesday. I was able to access my CAMS account, but I can’t login into my QC e-mail yet.
So I still have some work to do! Hopefully everything is done before my orientation.
