Spring 2017: Transfer Application

That was early.
I sent my application on July 20th.
I am glad you that had a good news soon.

yeah waiting is killing me!!!haha

I just called hotline and they say,“Your application is complete. It’s under the review.”

Well that’s good news. Hopefully they make a decision soon.

I got my acceptance letter from Brooklyn College tonight. It says I have to wait for a letter coming in 15 days to accept my offer.

I will post if there’s any update. Thanks a lot! I must save these contacts. It will be useful in the future.
Also, nothing is new on CUNY portal from Oct 2nd.
I will call Hunter college tomorrow and hope to hear that I am on the list.

@Bcs313, @eleanors No email yet from Queens College.

@eleanors, from what I have gathered the portal doesn’t update to which college you get accepted in.
usually it comes via email/ letter.

Congrats!! How did you get it? E-mail?

I called hunter admissions office, but they told me general information only. Also, there’s no email replied yet. :-<

@eleanors It really depends on who answers the phone. Try calling on a different day at a different time, maybe you will get someone else.

Nothing on my side either.

I wouldn’t worry the notifications for each school will differ.

Yes! got confirmation today Hunter accepted me! It was my first choice. Looks like whatever school name is said with the automated system is most likely the one that you got into.

@lowe22 congrats. Did you get an email?

Nope @queens12, no email yet. I called Queens college because I missed Hunter’s hours. So I would suggest, if anyone else is impatient like me, you can possibly contact any of the schools on your application. I guess they can all access your information.

@lowe22 yep! apparently Queens College don’t mind giving out the decision. Just called them a few minutes ago to make sure I was not dreaming. lol

The person on the phone said just look out for an email from CUNY and Queens.

Nice!!

Yep, that just about sums up my feelings and call to the Queens admissions office too, @queens12. Now does anybody know if you can get accepted to more than one CUNY? I know that the portal delineates quite clearly that you’ll only hear from one school, but I’ve seen some contradictory information so naturally I was quite curious.

@lucidcolors For transfer applicants only 1 college.

i didn’t know that. I wrote Hunter as 1st but I prefer Baruch.(Chose as 2nd) I thought I can get letters all colledges

@alice525: This is what I found:

“You will be accepted to your first choice college as long as you meet the admissions requirements for that college. If you do not meet the requirements, you will be considered for the next college you chose until the University
Application Processing Center (UAPC) finds a college on your list for which you do qualify for. However, you
will be accepted to only one college.”
