Ugh I am devastated. Do you guys think I should appeal and send them my fall 18 grades? From the looks of it, I’m going to have straight A’s
@rutgerstransfer1998 I’m so sorry. If you have straight As I think it’s worth a shot. I didn’t appeal last time I was rejected, but I regret it after getting straight As. But if you don’t appeal will you try for Fall 19? Or maybe there is another school you could try?
@rutgerstransfer1998 I’m sorry to hear that :(. I don’t really know how the appeals work but I agree with @dwtransfer.
If I get rejected but do well enough that I think they would’ve accepted me had they known my grades, I would want them to re-consider.
@anxioustransfer1 have you heard back yet?
I’m so nervous.
@dwtransfer Just checked, still nothing yet. Still says “in process” for all three schools.
I’m super nervous too.
Nothing for me either! I’m applying to SAS and still says ‘in process’ as well!
Well! at least we hear back in a month!
I’m super nervous as well! (even though, I’m anticipating myself to get rejected)
I haven’t sent in my transcript because I’m waiting for changes to my grades. I expect to send them mid November. Hopefully that won’t be a problem as I’ve heard that since it’s on a rolling basis, they can give answers very close to when classes start. Provided they don’t meet enrollment goals early.
Also, Rutgers (probably Camden though) is coming to a transfer fair at my school next week, so they must be taking applications still. Anyone have any experience sending everything later and hearing back right before classes start?
@tagreen348 is this your first semester back after getting the 3.2 and taking a break? I feel like you should have a good shot with a 3.2
@Allrightk I don’t have personal experience with it but I don’t think it would be a problem since it’s rolling, you want to give yourself the best shot possible. I think Camden Newark and NB SAS don’t fill up super fast.
Although I’m pretty sure spring is always more competitive than fall.
I applied to Rutgers October 2nd, and sent everything in by the 7th including my hs transcript because it’s really good. I was accepted to Newark on like the 13th, Accepted to Camden on the 26. NB is currently in process and I’ve been checking my status everyday nervously because it’s my top school. I’ll let you guys know if u get in or rejected. Hopefully we don’t have to wait a whole month to get our decisions.
@transferdr654 congrats on getting into Newark and Camden and good luck for NB! What are your stats?
Hopefully we all hear back soon.
@dwtransfer Yes, I completed one semester of college at UMASS Amherst, but had to take a medical leave my second semester, so I have 17 credits as of now. I’m currently taking two online classes through Bergen Community and so far my grades look good, but I need to keep working hard so I get A’s. I’m just worried that I won’t get in because I don’t have two full time semesters, however I specified in my application that I had to take a medical leave.
@tagreen348 with so few credits maybe they will look at your high school transcript more. Also, writing about taking a medical leave on your application will def help you.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Has anyone else heard back other than from the previous posts? I’m trying to transfer to NB as a first year (currently at UMass Amherst & I’m a NJ resident). They received all my credentials Oct 3, but I still haven’t gotten anything: still “In Process.” I really want to know before spring registration starts at UMass. I also had an unweighted hs 3.8GPA and 1370/1600 SAT–applying to SAS.
Haven’t heard back either. I’m a first year transfer from another NJ 4 year public university. 3.9 hs GPA and 1250 SAT, all my credentials received 10/2. I was accepted to SAS and SEBS last semester, but chose another school (obviously not the right choice as I’m transferring lol). Based on the thread last year it looked like a lot of people had found out this week, so I was really anticipating hearing something all week
@flyingsquirrels @rosesamantha Mine still says “In Process”
Yup, mine too.
@flyingsquirrels @anxioustransfer1 thanks guys, i’ll lyk when i get an update !
Hopefully next week. I’d hate for us to all have to wait until December.
When did people last year hear back? Did they hear back around this time?
@tagreen348 I’m pretty sure a lot of people heard back around first week of November.
