Spring 2019 Transfer

Wow, well my recommendations were from communications professor, english professor, and employer of internship. That internship sure will help you a lot. Hopefully, there’s not only one spot in the econ department. Here’s to hoping that the results come back sometime this week

Yes, hopefully it comes back this week. Good luck to both of us @JeffreyPo

Since y’all are doing all of the statistics. I might as well too.

Current Institute: Small Liberal Arts all-male school top 150
GPA: 3.85/4.0 including study at Oxford University / Honor’s College student
SAT: weak, but I was told that this doesn’t matter.
Major: Government; Minor: Biology and German
Extracurriculars: Lots of leadership positions and honors. Lots of campaign work, internships etc.
Recommendations: Six in total. 3 from professors in my fields, 1 from my college president, 1 from a dean who knows my work ethic, and 1 from a Cornell professor.
Region: South Carolina, Minority student

I just reset my password, and on the decision page it said that my decision would be available tomorrow at 11am. I applied to CAS Econ

I tried to reset my pin but I got an error @imtransferring . I’m CAS Econ as well

Did everyone get the email just now from Cornell Undergraduate Admissions with the article “Five Tips for Thriving at Cornell”?

Yes @marissa1101

@IvyBound511 @marissa1101 No for me, im assuming that is bad :frowning:

@marissa1101 @IvyBound511 Can either of you log into the housing portal right now?

And good luck to everyone receiving their decision at 11 am on the 4th!

i did not get that.

Important question: did you guys get any of their other undergraduate office emails? @HSCTiger2021 @igottatransfer like “my daily Thursday routine” for example.
If you got those but didn’t get the one today then that could be significant information, otherwise I wouldn’t worry about it.

FYI, cornells application uses a variable “secondsleft” for when the webpage will display a decision. If you go into developer tools, you can set the variable to “-1” which will release the decision. I don’t condone it, nor am I doing it. But I think it will allow you to see decision early.

And I have no idea how to access the housing portal @igottatransfer

@IvyBound511 I have not gotten any of those emails.

@IvyBound511 Didn’t get those emails either.

Link: https://living.cornell.edu/live/apply/housing-portal-login.cfm

I am kinda tempted to do that “+1” thing, but I am no tech guy haha

Guys, please let us know what your letters say!

So on my decision page it says: “Your decision will be viewable on 12/4/2018 at 11:00 AM”

In regards to the emails, that doesn’t mean anything I’d think. I didn’t get any emails from Cornell besides info on my applicantID, etc… I think sometime during the application process, people must have subscribed for some kind of updates like that.

@igottatransfer When i try to log in to the housing portal it says “either your session has timed out or you are not currently logged in”

@JeffreyPo good luck! What are your stats?

Mine still says: “We were unable to locate your PIN. Please try again, or contact Technical Support for further assistance. To request your PIN via email, you must provide the name of the School to which you are applying, the email address under which you registered your account, date of birth, and full name.”
