Spring 2022 Transfer Thread

Thank you power, best of luck to you as well!!

Thank you very much for the kind words, best of luck to you with your applications.

you got a transfer option?

According to Cornell’s admissions statistics on their website, more than half of admitted students are either full pay or get about $44,000 in scholarships from Cornell. I also checked the US Department of Education and it says that the average Cornell student families income is $160,000. So how much we make is considered during admissions decisions. It is NOT need blind even for US citizens. If it was truly need blind then most admitted students would require almost full pay. The fact that more richer students get in then we shouldn’t beat ourselves too much if rejected. Families over $160,000 have a better chance of admission because most Cornell families make more than $160,000 per year. I just want to encourage anyone who didn’t get in.they also check how much aid we need before deciding. They just don’t explicitly mention it. It is also possible to get in with little money as well. The percentage is just lower. So when we ask each other our stats to see why We were rejected, i bet our families make less than $160,000. I believe the essays play a role as well. In short, I just want to encourage anyone rejected yesterday or the next few weeks. We did everything right. We gave it everything we had. We just have to keep fighting for our dreams regardless of the rejection. Cornell is not the end of the road. For those accepted, congrats and good luck to you.
