Hey everyone, I wanted to throw out a question because I am really in need of some advice. I have been admitted to the U of R but for the spring semester. I have visited the University and absolutely loved every minute of it. What do you think I should do, pass on this opportunity or wait it out and start later. Is it worth it? Do you think there are a lot of disadvantages of starting in January as opposed to Sept?
Thanks

What would you do in the Fall and could you still graduate with your class or would you always be out of step?

depends on where you live and if your willing to take a few courses during summer...

if you don't mind spending part of a summer doing a few courses that will allow you to be in the same position as people starting in the fall then wait it out and make some money during fall when places are in need of people now that college kids have stopped working

I would attend another college for first semester so i could hopefully be in step and on track with everyone else (or close to it) and then just transfer into Rochester. I loved the U of R but i just don't know if it would be worth it. I still need to speak with my counselor and see what he thinks. It's all just so confusing!

If you do decide to attend Rochester in the spring, talk to Rochester before you enroll in another college for first semester. They may not accept the credits from another school (http://www.rochester.edu/college/CCAS/AdviserHandbook/TransferCrdt.html), or may not allow you to enroll as a freshman anymore.

I actually did this and it worked out okay. Some people don't even know I came in spring. feel free to PM me if you hav any more questions
