Spring admission vs Fall admission for Master's in Engineering

Hi all,

I am applying for Spring 2012 admission. I was hoping some of you could give me advice on how i should go about doing this

1) i have emailed professors - many say that admissions even for just a masters is way more frequent in fall than spring. My question then is does anyone know how often ppl get admitted for an engineering masters starting january in the calendar year?

2) if i apply and get rejected , is there a chance i can appeal for my application to be considered for fall directly. Or will I have to reapply. Also is there such a thing as schools just deferring you for consideration to the fall term if they cannot accept you in the spring term?

Any more tips on spring admission would be appreciate. Thank you

The main problem in spring intake is tht not all the specialization courses are open in sping intake in every universities i.e. there are universities which have different courses in fall but not all courses are open in spring so your options are reduced. And yeah there are colleges which deferrs your admission to fall if you want to.
