<p>My S has been offered Spring Admission to AU starting in January 2008. We have some questions and would be grateful for any input. Does anyone know why some applicants are being asked to wait until January? Is it a space issue or something else? Has anyone on this site accepted Spring Admission? Do these students feel like part of AU? Do they attend orientation in the Fall (I assume not)? Is making friends harder for these students or is there no real difference? Is there any sense among AU students that the Spring Semester group are second class citizens? Any thoughts or input would be terrific.</p>
<p>I am not sure how it works for American, but I know that at Maryland some students are offered Spring Admission because they didn't quite make the cut for Fall Admission.</p>
