Spring Admissions

Where can I find out about spring admissions for USC? Well thanks and also to the people that were admitted during the spring what was it like? ok thanks again

<----would also like to know

:( im going through some mixed feelings... i was VERY excited to read my letter today: "Congratulations! You are among a very select group of students who have been admitted to USC..."

YAY!

"...for the spring semester of 2007."

what the heck? :(

i dont know what im going to do now.

i know what you mean. i was really annoyed at first because if USC had processed the financial info and stuff earlier, and promptly, i could've had a chance at fall admission. but i figure spring is better than nothing. so do they leave us to fend for ourselves in the fall semester? do we have to take general ed courses @ jc's and then go to usc?

Did the spring admit come in a big packet like an acceptance?

What kind of school admits people for the spring semester? Did they screw up and admit too many people early, or what's the deal?

my spring admit came in a large sized envelope, but it was thin. 3 pieces of paper and a spring enrollment response card.

so are any of you guys going to take it?

So can any of you "springies" log onto explore or rsvp?

You still waiting too dodgerblue?

kkgirl,
The financial aid stuff has nothing to do with admissions. My son was accepted in late January, and they just finished up his financial aid (which is zero). I didn't even bother filling out the forms until he had been accepted.

im a springie and i cant log onto either.

i couldn't log onto explore/rsvp..but i could log onto oasis (where the login name is the id #, and the password is mmddyy (birthdate)

momof chris,
when i applied to usc, i sent in the financial stuff prior to the admission, which is the reason why it's a little different.
i had most of the financial aid stuff done..it's just my parents had to send the tax forms and business farm in when they had the info availible (like beginning of march).. and usc can't process the application in its entirety unless they have every single part of it. My impression is that delayed items of any sort can adversely affect admission. it apparently took them at least 3 weeks to process and determine admission based on a financial aid form.

im pretty sure usc doesnt make its admissions decision with any regards to financial aid. at least thats what my letters have said.

hopefully not,
but why else would they delay making a decision if i submitted the app as early as late december, but sent the financial stuff later? i'm thinking they just happened to look @ mine later..

Lots of people on this forum applied in December and are only finding out now. You're not alone.

does anyone know what is the likelihood of appealing for fall admission if you are currently a spring admit?

To answer the OP's question, I don't think USC does admissions separately for the Spring semester. You'll just have to apply as a transfer if you want another shot. Sorry!

even if there is an option for spring enrollment people that says " I would be interested in an offer of fall admission if a space becomes availible." (which there is)?

For spring admissions... you basically just start in the spring. you can stay with your class if you take some GEs at a community college in the fall

I was admitted for spring as well and I called the admissions office to see if there was any way to appeal this decision and they said there wasn't since I was considered an admit. So I was wondering if USC lets you defer admission to fall of 2007 and attend another school for freshman year. I was accepted at UCLA and UCB so my plan is to attend one of those for a year and then transfer.

my friend was admitted in the spring and still can't decide...anyone else doing spring admission?
