I'm a USC Appeal Admit to the Marshall School of Business for 2013.

I was wondering if there is anyway I can move my admissions acceptance from Spring 2013 to this fall 2012.

Who would I have to contact? or what would I have to fill out?

Hi allstar2012,
I’m in the same situation as you - a USC appeal admit for an undecided major and would like to get moved to fall. I have heard that they encourage people not to try and get moved to the fall because if they do have any spaces, they pick people at random from the spring class - there is no structured system of how they choose people. My admissions councellor is going to call USC to find out if there is an official form (like some kind of second appeal) to fill out in the hope of getting bumped to the fall, or perhaps another reference letter to increase the chances. I will post again if there is a form and let you know.

If you want to contact them, you should probably call the admissions office as they are in charge of all offers. Sorry I couldn’t help much - maybe someone else will know a bit more! Best of luck!

You can write to your regional rep or the admissions office and let them know you would like to move up, but it won’t be news to them. They are well aware that no one wants to matriculate in spring and that everyone would prefer to attend in the fall. There is no form to fill out. If they can move you up they will but I would not expect it - they already moved up a bunch of regular spring admits which made some room in the spring for appeal admits. As some of the appeal students were admitted in the fall, and USC already has its fall and regular spring class yield, I would think they are pretty much set unless some of the appeals that were accepted for fall decide not to attend.

My D was admitted for spring initially - we were not happy but we got our heads around it to where it would have been okay if she had not been moved up.
