Okay so I found out I got into spring program. However when I click on enroll into the FPF program why does it say:
"The Fall Program for Freshmen is full. Contact info: fallfrosh@unex.berkeley.edu | (510) 643-0379"???????
It can't possibly be full in 30 minutes. Are they still updating the system or something???

how do you know if you are an spring admit?

It tells me in the acceptance letter that I got in the spring semester 2010

check monday
i called them
EVERYTHING IS down including housing and that enrolment thing.

thank you ~ Congratulations!

it generally takes a week to two weeks before it actually fills up.

Spring admit here too. ILets work together so we can find out as soon it it Open.

Sounds like a good idea!! Tell me what your plan is! I need this badly!

Would you guys go to UCLA (fall admit) or Cal (Spring admit) … Major economics? Idk, I kinda feel like I’m second class to others admitted to Cal for fall.

If you just got admitted to Cal for the spring semester, logged into myBerkeleyApplication and got a message saying the FPF program was full when you tried to sign up, that was a glitch. It has been fixed.
MyBerkeleyApp

it still says its full for me.

Yeah, it still says it’s full for me too.

I’m in the same dilemma, choosing between UCLA (fall) and UCB (spring). What do I miss as a spring admit?

demoz,

Short answer, nothing really. You get live on campus and take Berkeley quality classes at a campus a few blocks away. The only significant difference is that you can’t take some science classes because of lack of lab space, but the program is really good at making sure you don’t fall behind (no pun intended ;).

Other than that, with a few other minor differences, you are a fall admit. I was in FPF fall 2008 and am actually glad I wasn’t a fall admit. It was a much better transition.

Go Bears!

would that have a lesser effect say… if I’m majoring in economics rather tahn… biology?

Absolutely. An economics major should have few if any problems.

Yay! Me too. We’re the lucky ones, in fact. We get a transition period from Fall to Spring to get ready for undergraduate studies! Let’s celebrate, all FPF admits! (There’s how many of us? About 700ish?)

Yeaaaa for the BEARS!!

except the program is full?

its not full, hah. I really doubt its full since decisions only came out today?

Does anyone know if being a spring admit or attending the fall program will affect your chances at transferring to Haas? My primary reason for attending UCB is for Haas.
