i have read that there are mechanisms to do such, but you will probably need to call the OUA at Sproul Hall.

I was a spring admit for spring 2008, you should sign up for FPF ASAP so that you can come here for fall even if your appeal fails

Spring is cool. FPF classes are smaller and slightly easier. The classes transfer and you get to be on campus…

Sure, there are limitations to the classes you can take, but I think it’s great!

note: I’m not a spring admit, but my Spring admit friends claim it’s pretty awesome :D

I thought this way when I found out I was a spring admit too, OP, but once I read more information about FPF and other stuff, I realized that it isn’t that bad. You are still in every sense an admitted student. After you get over the unfounded feeling of inferiority stemming from your peers, family, or yourself, you will realize that the opportunity to go to Cal is something you should appreciate, whether you start in spring or fall.

thanks for the comments guys. can someone explain to me housing for FPF, and housing in general for spring students? i looked on the websites but am still unclear

thanks

FPF housing is not guaranteed. Generally 50% of everyone gets dorm housing for fall and everyone who fails to get dorm housing can reapply to for spring semester. Most people who apply for dorms for spring, get it.

To secure a housing guarantee, apply for a theme house.
[Living at Cal - Theme Programs](http://www.housing.berkeley.edu/livingatcal/themeprograms.html)

find one you like, and call the housing office and ask about the theme house application.
