Spring admit

<p>Spring admission may actually result in a cost savings:</p>

<ul>
<li>FPF cost is about the same as one semester of regular Berkeley at in-state cost, so out-of-state students can get a discount for the FPF semester.</li>
<li>Students who choose to take a semester’s worth of courses at a community college can obviously save some costs by substituting a lower cost community college semester for the regular Berkeley semester cost.</li>
</ul>

<p>Does the community college we attend in the Fall have to also be on the semester system?</p>

<p>If you attend a quarter system CC, then one 15 unit quarter = 10 semester units. Also, taking sequenced courses (e.g. math, physics, chemistry, etc.) may not work too well, because the boundaries between quarter will not line up with boundaries between semesters, unless you are taking the last quarter of what is normally a year sequence that you started taking at CC while in high school.</p>
