Spring Admits question

I am curious what other Spring admits did, or plan to do, during the Fall session.

Hey! I went to Moho for my first year of college (2006-2007), but I left and came home. I plan to return for Spring 2010. In the fall I think I’m just going to work and save up money for books and stuff. What about you? :)

I just finished an English Comp class at a local college and picked up 3 hours. I will probably take a couple of math classes in fall.
Curious why you left after 1st year?

Because I crashed and burned. Lol! I’m not quite sure I was very ready to handle being away in college in general. I should have probably taken a year off and matured a little more. Not that I was partying or anything…I was just really depressed and homesick. I failed my first class in my life and had to drop out of a few. I’ve never had problems in school so I was pretty embarrassed that I’d done so badly that instead of just trying it again in the fall, I withdrew and came home. I didn’t think that I was going to reapply until I went up for commencement in May and realized how much I missed it. Even though I did a full year at a community college this past year and brought up my grades, I didn’t actually finish a sufficient amount of credits at MHC my first year to be considered a sophomore. So even though I should be graduating this spring, I don’t actually know what year they’ll consider me when I return. Oh well.

So did you send in your application for spring entrance already? If you have any questions about dorms or just general stuff, I can try and help you out as much as possible. Just message me! :)

This is purely an advisory post, but I wanted to let you ladies know about the Spring Connections program, a program set up by some former Springies (two of my best friends) who wanted more social activities and programming to help Spring Admits adjust to MHC. Search for “Spring Connect” on Facebook; admins are Jacqueline Hoffer, Demi Duran, and a few others!
