I got in.....for spring. I think I'm gonna do it.

It was a MAJOR letdown though. I saw the mailman with the big envelope. I was all pumped. I see that I'm welcomed to the trojan family....opened the folder....for SPRING 2009. ughghg

I'll have a bunch of money now I guess for school.

i am a spring admit this year. Honestly it seems much worse than it is, i dont think i know any other admit that regrets the decision.

USC doesn't waitlist, this was its replacement. I know this past 07-08 school year there were about 500 spring admits who accepted. In years before this past year a few people were offered spots for fall admission, that just depends on the year.

I'm not sure if they're continuing this program as so many of us came last year, but if anyone does fall into this boat, DO IT, it will be stressful annoying and the fall will seem to suck but honestly its not that bad and goes by quickly. More than worth it.

Also in the past spring admits could also get student season tickets for all the football games and even be eligible for the lottery for bowl games.

Spring admits are great because it's a sure thing, unlike the waitlist situation where you are in limbo and unlikely to get a place anyway. What's 3 months in the grand scheme of things? It passes by quickly. Absolutely it's worth it.

More like 5 months. Anyway, I applied undeclared to the college of arts, letters, and sciences. My status on the USC site still says 'in review.'

It's frustrating because I thought I would get in to every school I applied to. I had my counselor betting that I would get admitted EA to Stanford. Instead, I've gotten rejected from Stanford, UCLA, Berkeley, Winter admit for UCSD, and Spring for USC. I got into Redlands and UCSB Honors only. And my Harvard rejection will be online after school Monday.

I worked my ass off, only to get a spring admit. I'm somewhat bitter, because kids that copy off me in physics are getting in to USC Fall. At least I got in. I know I shouldn't be complaining, because so many would be happy to be in my position, yet I still feel like I've worked hard enough to be entitled a place in the Fall.

Hey man, that hard work will pay off at college...copying got them into USC but it won't get them much farther.

Plus, I know this won't serve as much consolation, but

A. You're in, and

B. I am actually hoping for a spring admission rather than fall...I actually would rather start spring semester, and go out to Santa Barbara City College or somewhere in Europe and chill for a little bit before I start school.
