so this will be my first summer session at UCLA, I would like to know if there is a limit on how many units, one could take per summer session, and what is the average amount of units that student usually have in the summer ? (just to see if my plan for the summer do able or not).

And here is the class I want to take for the spring quarter:
Math 33B
Math 61
Math 115A
Econ 102
Mgmt 122

The total units for the spring would be 21 units. Is this do able or just plain suicide?
Any input is welcome. Thanks

I personally wouldn’t recommend doing more than 4 classes during the summer. 2 during Session A and 2 during Session B. I copied and pasted the bottom part from the summer session website. You’ll probably have to petition if you want to go over the unit limit. You’re taking a lot of technical classes, which will probably be super fast paced. The material covered during 10 weeks is all crammed in 6 weeks, so make sure you know what weeks to drop classes if you need a refund.

How many classes can I take during the summer?
UCLA Undergraduates
UCLA College of Letters and Science students may enroll in up to 18 units. Undergraduates from other UCLA schools may enroll in up to 16 units. UCLA undergraduates wishing to enroll in more units must obtain approval from their college or school.

Non-UCLA Students
Non-UCLA students may enroll in up to 20 units through URSA. Non-UCLA students wishing to enroll in more units should submit a Student Update Form to the Registrar’s Office, 1113 Murphy Hall.
