I had a few random questions. In the past I got one F in one of my classes. My plan was to retake it this spring semester but it seems pointless if the UC's don't consider spring courses for transfers. Is it still worth taking even if my GPA will basically reset when I enter my new school?

If I said I was retaking it in my application and I don't follow through is there a chance a UC could reject me because of it?

I applied to almost all the UC's just for reference.

hitboy, I was in a very similar situation actually just a week ago. In 2008 I received a D in an intro to speech class, and I was registered to retake it this semester. My counselor told me that no, they won’t see the grades, so it’s not a big factor or anything if you are taking it in progress, however, they DO see and make note of it. Overall, she encouraged me to retake it. Fortunately, though, I just received AR for it, and therefore don’t have to retake it.

Despite that, I think I’m still going to take the speech class though because it would be nice to have strong public speaking skills.

I guess the real question I am asking is if its worth retaking if I am not planning on continuing my studies after university. Also another fact is that the UC’s won’t consider the new grade/class I take.
