Doesn’t reflect scholarships yet so my heart skipped a beat when I saw the total! After doing the math it was as I expected.
Spring bill seemed to be about twice what I expected–$6,609.25. However, there may be some National Merit money not shown yet–e.g.,the $625.00 NMF cash stipend check that I understand is to be picked up later. Also, the Oklahoma Academic Scholars Program $2,750.00 comes after they establish the student is full-time. Okay, I feel a little better.
@RayznHELL I don’t believe the OK scholars portion has posted I think it was $2750 but my memory could be off DD changed her Ozone password and hasn’t shared it with me yet;-)
I am in the same boat. OU has not posted $2750 & $625 yet. So it comes to around $3488 for my net due for 18 credits after I subtract these 2 amounts. It is similar to last semester which came to $3588 for my net due for 20 credits. Of course last semester we all got 1 time $2k for text books check.
@goldenrock the $625 with not be posted but will be issued by check that the student has to pick up.
@3scoutsmom Understood. But I think it is better if students first deposit that check with Bursar office and they in turn will return any extra money at the end of account closing for the semester (like March end for this semester) and then student can deposit it in their bank. The only benefit of doing this way is when 1098-T issued it will automatically include the amount. Otherwise I am not seeing any official doc coming out from school, though we need to report that to IRS. That is what I am realizing now for 2016 tax year. My D submitted the $625 to bursar office but she did not submit the $2000 to bursar office. So the $2000 is not reflected in their 1098-T nor I got any other docs from any of OU office (like NM office).
Today got the 1090-Misc form from OU for the $2k Textbook check which my D submitted directly to the bank. If she has given that first to Bursar office then this amount would have been reflected in 1098-T which is the right form to get this reflected.
All scholarship entries are posted now. OK Academic scholarship $2750 and NM $625 there and the final bill ready to be paid by us. We got the net $3488.25 for 18 credits for Spring 2017.
