<p>Having spent time this week 1) sucking up my disappointment at not being able to join in the NY RL CC meetup and 2) planning the logistics of spring break college visits with S1, I find myself wondering: How many of you might be heading to the same campuses next month? And how will I know if I see you? :) I was still an anonymous lurker when we did this with D three years ago, but even then I'd wonder occasionally when I heard a really smart question or a witty, apt comment from a parent, whether it might have been this or that wise CC poster.</p>
<p>We're going to (deep breath) Swarthmore, Haverford, St. Mary's of Maryland, Oberlin, Bates, and Tufts in late March. Anybody else?</p>
<p>I'll be the one with the cheerful but probably sticky Kindergartner in tow. (Doughnuts + books go a loong way in keeping S2 quiet during info sessions.)</p>
<p>We'll be on the West coast. I'm trying to get D2 to agree to look at some schools in California but she's not buying it. She won't go far from home. ;)</p>

<p>I think CC sells t-shirts and other items, so you can be easily identified. Of course, wearing a CC t-shirt may cause undue humiliation of your kid. (Not to mention what the admissions people would think of a t-shirt that says "What are my chances?").</p>

<p>HarrietMW, while college touring is not on our schedule this spring break, I was on a college campus a few years ago (one on your list) for a freshman Parents Weekend when a woman approached me and said, "Do you happen to post on CC?" I stammered for a moment, looked at my family who had NO idea what this woman was talking about, and admitted that I did. She said, "Oh, I'm xxxx from CC." I had three boys with me, so I suppose she took a guess. ;)</p>
<p>Trying to squeeze in Franklin and Marshall and Ursinus during the spring break, but I just want to brain the coach for scheduling three meets during that week (not to mention D having to take the ACT the first Saturday)</p>
<p>boysx3, my son is a freshman at Lafayette so he will be there (obviously). I won't be though... but if you have questions, feel free to PM me. Or go to the Lafayette page in the Colleges forum, Candyman92486 is a junior who answers questions there, I believe he also does tours. Also there was are 2 international CC'r who lives on my son's floor, shail619 and ediaz, ediaz is my son's RA. I'm not sure if shail & ediaz are on the boards much any more.</p>
<p>Just a reminder to check each school's academic calendar - many have breaks in March. I know it complicated our planning; I had to turn around and work the trip in the opposite direction after discovering that ONE school went on break much later than the rest. Out of schools some of you have mentioned, Ursinus, for example, is on break 3/8 - 17, and so is Dickinson, but F&M is the following week, even though all three are in the same athletic conference. (Speaking of coaches. :) )</p>
<p>Just finalized campus visits to Nashville and Columbus over break. Managed to find 2 of 4 schools w/compatible breaks. Will have to miss school or wait for summer for other 2 visits.</p>
<p>We're headed to DC to visit Georgetown, GW and American and then on to visit Duke and Emory. Any one else visiting the same schools during the 3rd week in March?</p>
<p>My son and I may run into you, because we'll also be visiting Tufts sometime during the last week of March. Don't know which day yet -- either Wednesday, March 26, or Friday, March 28. (We'll be at Boston College on the 27th.)</p>
<p>Good point Harriet - thanks! The planets didn't align on our school calendar since the spring break they scheduled in our district this year is after Easter and before Passover...but we still get the three day weekend with Good Friday and a three day weekend the week before for a superintendent day, maybe the F&M and Ursinus trips will have to be separate weekends...so complicated lol!!</p>
