What are all of you planning on doing for Spring Break? I have almost three weeks in March off of school, yet I don't know what to do. I'm looking for something both educational and fun! Maybe in a major city like New York, Vancouver, or San Francisco. Or in a warm climate like Hawaii or Florida. I've been looking at volunteering opportunities but I haven't found any that would be a good fit for me. I am a high school freshman. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just got off for winter break dude.

hi fellow freshman =)

um… I found a volunteer program that helps kids in orphanages in China… it’s for 10 days.

I might do it in the summer. PM me if you want the link.

Try CTD Northwestern Civic Education Project. They are one week and are volunteer programs that are pretty well respected compared to some of their money making counterparts. They aren’t too too expensive either.

I’m gonna be in AP Lockdown Mode.

— You guys get ~3 weeks off?! Ugh…at my school, we only get 7 days off :(

Ah… That sucks. AP Lockdown mode… Yeah, but we get Saturday classes plus a normal day is from 8-6. :(

There aren’t that many internships available to high school freshmen… Most volunteering isn’t educational unless you do what I did and tutor math (you could tutor anything) pro bono in under-served school districts.

It doesn’t have to be educational and volunteering. It could be either/or. Either educational and fun or volunteering and fun. But yeah, there aren’t many internships available.
