Spring Break!!!

Staying up all night...just another great thing about Spring Break. My Spring Break is only one week long :(. Atleast we get out at the end of May.

Spring break started about 10 hours ago officially for me. I wasn't supposed to end until Thursday, but I'm exempt from finals ;) I'm kinda sad that I'm on break now though. I really liked school this quarter :(

P.S. thesiren, congrats on your 1,000th post! You're officially a senior member now :)

Why is some of your guys' spring break now? Easter's not for a few more weeks. Do you get a spring break and an Easter vacation? Our's starts somewhere around April 10th.

Most private schools have a break that takes up most of March, instead of maybe two shorter ones in say Feb. and April.

I'm heading out to San Diego hoping to catch some of the World Baseball Classic and NCAA tournament.

I have found that most schools in the southern states have Spring Break in March, and most schools in the east coast and midwestern states have Spring Break in April. I have lived in six different states in those regions, and that seems to be the general trend.

Thank you zpm!! I have finally fulfilled a New Year's Resolution (see the New Year's Resolution thread on CC)...I'm finally a senior member!!!

I have Spring break now because we're on the quarter system. After we get back, it's eleven straight weeks of school (except for a day off on Memorial Day) and then it's summer:)

Don't you guys get a few days off around Easter?

Am I the only one here who totally can't take spring break? It's only wednesday and I'm beginning to twitch from the lack of work.

(...And wow, that was absurdly CC of me.)

Yes. You are the only one.

Jonathan, I don't think we get any days off for easter.

March 27 Classes Start
March 31 No Classes
May 29 Memorial Day
June 9 Classes End
June 9 Commencement

Silentsailor, you're definitely not the only one. It's my first day and I'm really sad I'm home. I REALLY liked my classes this quarter. I can't believe they're over :(

yeah, mine is this week; I live in Houston too.

It would be crazy if we went to the same school...

Do you live in Pearland, siren? (It's a suburb of Houston if you don't live there and want to know)

Yeah, it would be scary.

No, I don't live in Pearland, but I do have relatives that do live in there. I live in the Greater Houston area (think Conroe to Humble Area), yeah, those towns are pretty far apart, but if I give away the real town then it would be pretty obvious.

Yay for us Houstonians!!

My spring break doesn't start until the 3rd week of April... Gah, it feels so far awaaay...

Mine's last week of March, so I can sit around for the first part of the week brooding over upcoming online decisions...

Silentsailor, I don't have a spring break, either...All we get is the Thursday and Good Friday off before Easter, followed by Monday. We don't get all these other strange little, purposeless breaks, yet our school year is of the same, if not longer, duration (I think they might give us 185 days). It sucks to be me.

"Is your school really competitive mcz?" -Quizuick

Haha...What a joke. Our school is an average public school-the kind from which no one really ever gets into an Ivy League University, which sucks. Two years ago, a boy went to Cornell. Someone got into MIT this year, as did someone three years ago. Three years ago, the valedictorian got into Princeton, but went to Rutgers, as they gave her more money. Our school is terrible. Two teachers were also arrested last year for providing alcohol to minors, and it is well known they had affairs with students...Warren Hills is a joke.

One more day. Argh. Then 16 days of freedom.
