Has anyone else had a terrible spring break thus far?

I've been in bed saturday-today.. I've left my house once, to take my ACT's saturday morning. Lovely!

I don't know what's wrong with me.. My fever has been 102-103. My throat's been so bad. I've lived on Jello and soup for the past 5 days, but now, it's so hard to swallow. Want to eat, but can't. Going to the doctor today. Woohoo.

Eh, I’ve been sick too (sore, constricted throat, loss of appetite, nausea, headache, etc.), but my spring break has gone pretty well. Yesterday went on a lengthy hike, monday to a science symposium at a local college (with lecturers like Dawkins, Greene, and the like), and on Sunday I went on another hike.

It was an adventure. Ran a strep throat test. Came back negative. Ran a mono test, came back inconclusive. Ran a 2nd mono test, inconclusive. Ran a 3rd mono test, came back positive.

I have mono, and there’s nothing they can do. He estimates that I’ll be better in 2-3 weeks.

So far over my spring break I more so babysitting, and this will countinue throughout the week. I also have been dissappointed in my cities health system.

I’ve also been to the hospital. Though I have been sent to a clueless intern, and now a clueless doctor. They do not know the accurate steps needed to be taken. I’ll see if I can see a specialist.

Haha. Mine starts on Friday and only goes till Wednesday. Not even a full week. And I have to spend the whole time working feverishly to complete my ap studio work, in addition to all the other homework I’m getting. I stopped thinking of “breaks” as time off a long time ago-it just means I have more time to work. And work and work and work.

I’ve been traveling like crazy. It’s been lame.

But spring break is nice now. And now I can go to the beach for the next few days to get rid of my paleness. It’s amazing. I live in Florida and still don’t go to the beach until when all the tourists come.
