When do I talk to a counselor about classes? Should I try to get into a CalSO or equivalent prior to the "Spriing transfer" Calso in October? Anything else I should know about trying to get classes at Berkeley? Thanks in advance.

I’m also a spring admit and was wondering the same thing I thought CalSo for spring admits is in November, no?

Yeah, if I remember correctly, I’m pretty sure CALSO should be in November for you guys. No need to get an earlier CALSO though. You’ll be able to have a great CALSO session and register for classes all the same. In fact, it’s probably better to go to the November Spring Admit CALSO because it’s more geared to your guys’ situations.

As for trying to get classes, hmmm I don’t think Berkeley has listed the spring 2012 courses yet, so you can’t really look ahead at what you would prospectively take. Instead, I would recommend reviewing your Upper Div. requirements for your major and figure out what you would ideally take in the spring if all were offered.

Perfect, thanks for answering my question :). I’m glad I won’t have to drive all the way to Berkeley again twice.
