Spring Classes for Incoming Transfers

Hey guys... Does anyone have any information when Spring transfers will be able to sign up for their classes? Are we able to pick most of the classes we want? Also, if anyone has any tips like meeting with an academic counselor to plan out my academic schedule while at USC please let me know! Thanks

whenever ur reg date is specified (google usc web reg and log in)

u get priority over international students and thats it

you WILL have to contact your academic advisor before you can register as they will have to lift a hold on your registration

hey km… i just did that and it confirmed what i thought to be true. i read that we would be able to register after orientation… that has me worried because orientation is like a week before the spring semester starts… if that’s true that has me a little worried.

Don’t worry- Upper divisions aren’t usually full and people always drop out the first two weeks anyways. I always even get the really popular GE’s this way (even though you probably finished most GEs) During orientation there will be people there to help you out and make sure you register for the classes you need.
After this one semester, you will register according to how many units you have, so you’ll register before underclassmen and definitely be able to get the classes you need.

Do the classes become easier (or curves lower) in the spring with the new admits?

I would say no…Classes that even curve are usually too big that a few students wont make an impact anyways. Plus, what’s to say they wont be competitive?

Social, just dont expect to get the classes you want/perfect time schedule
you will have to take what you can get; at least i did (for fall). my schedule has so many gaps lol good thing i live right off campus

yeah i’m not expecting a perfect schedule or anything. i’m going to be living near campus too, so it should be ok whatever happens. see you guys during the Spring! Thanks for your replies.
