<p>FPF gives you much of the actual Berkeley experience, but has only a limited selection of courses (e.g. no math beyond 1B, no lab science or computer science courses, only freshman level courses – basically the courses that are inexpensive to teach).</p>
<p>Community college may be a better option for those who want to take math courses more advanced than 1B or lab science courses. It is likely that many such students are in the College of Engineering. Some students may find the community college option to be a way to save most of one semester’s worth of attendance costs.</p>
