Spring/Fall 2016 Transfer Thread

Hey guys, are all decisions for applicants with 30+ hours supposed to be out by the end November? I know some of you heard directly from admissions about release schedules.

Congrats everyone! Still haven’t heard from COE for Kinesiology yet but I’ll be more than happy to get into COLA as my second choice.

@longhornlegacy Just wanted to say thank you for the information concerning upgrading UT EIDs; like @ivanovich, I probably won’t be able to get down to Austin for at least a couple of weeks (I currently live about 4 hours away…for now!). I may go the temporary upgrade route as well!

Congrats again to everyone who is receiving acceptances!!!

i still haven’t found out and it’s KILLING MEEEE

I guess we’re going to have to wait until next week :confused:

@longhorntobe Do you know if all decisions for upperclassmen go out by end of next week?

@VidaMia24 The thing is, if we don’t get the decisions by the time Thanksgiving break starts, we’re going to have to wait until the following week. I really hope we hear by Monday.

Hey Guys

I applied for UT spring transfer for The College of Liberal Arts by the end of this semester I will have 31 credits with a GPA of 3.77. Do you know what my odds of getting accepted into Liberal Arts for Spring 2016 are?

I have done a lot of volunteering and was a part of a few clubs, also my essays were pretty solid on the topics.

What are my chances of being accepted? Also I applied for COLA as an Undeclared Major because I still need a few requirements to apply as an economics major, do you guys think I should change it from undeclared or leave it, because I don’t have Cal 1 or Cal 2?

HIST 2 - B
HIST 1 - A
GOVT - A
ENGL 1- A
ENGL 2 - A
BIO 1 - B
COL. ALG- A
PSYC - A
ART HIST -A
AIS - A
GPA - 3.77
(AIS is a required class that I had to do, I was told it should count as an elective credit)

@kman5000 you don’t need to have calc 1 and 2 to get accepted into COLA Economics. You do need them to graduate and having them would certainly help you get in, but they are not required like for McCombs.

@longhorntobe I don’t have micro or macro economics done either I planned on starting them spring semester and finishing them up in the summmer. But do you think I should switch my major from undeclared to economics? and do you know what my chances of getting in are?

@kman5000 well now, the only way you could change your major is if you’re accepted, and with a 3.77, you have a great chance for cola undeclared. Also, once you’re at UT, it’s easy to declare economics as a major because you’ll already be in cola. All you would have to do is set up a meeting with your advisor and attend some seminar. Good luck to you!

@longhorntobe Thanks for the help do you if i have a high enough chance of getting in spring though?

Accepted!!! 3.58 GPA to COLA Economics. Good luck to everyone who’s still waiting, it’s worth the wait!

Seems like they are still sending out cola decisions, I wonder if they can finish or even start cns decision by end of month, since only 3 days left because of thanksgiving. Anyways, @ me if any CNS people got in! =((

Has anyone received a denial letter yet? I’m still waiting on my transfer decision into cola for French. Not sure if how long it’s taking is a good thing or bad thing… :-SS

@longhornlegacy

I got my rejection notice today, but I was anticipating that.

@longhorntobe how many hours did you transfer?

@kman5000 33 hours

Just got accepted into the College of Education!!! Going for Exercise Science. I transferred 57 hours from ACC and Central Texas College. 3.6 GPA

@longhornlegacy Sorry to hear that. I’m dealing with my share of rejections too.

I haven’t heard from UT Austin yet
