@Texas2019 I think you have a solid chance of getting in! You have a 4.0 after all, and from previous years, you would need an average of 3.6, and you have good extracurriculars that go with your major, so you’ll prolly get in  Mind chancing me? ^^^ I’m applying for the same college, but CS is a bit harder to get into since its close to the engineering line.

Could someone PLEASE chance me?

Hi everyone. I am considering on applying for transfer to UT. I’d like to know my chances before I spend $75 on the application fee. I currently hold a 3.8 GPA with 32 credit hours. I am weak in extracurriculars - I work full-time as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Also, I plan to apply as a pre-nursing major.

What are my chances?

Hello everyone, I am trying to transfer from University of North Texas to UT Austin.
I’m a freshman currently.
Attempting to transfer to Moody College of Communication: Political Communication
GPA: 3.8
Earned credits: 45
Resume:
I was VERY involved in high school and am apart of 2 clubs, and one political science honor society in college. I’m also an officer of one club.
Volunteer hours: quite a lot as well
Essays: I’m not the best writer but I’m not awful, so I’m hoping that won’t be the make or break it point.
Going to submit my application soon, but just wondering the chances of being admitted!

Could anyone chance me?

@DaveCloud I think you have a great chance, considering you will have completed the calculus, chemistry, and physics sequences by the time you attend. Your GPA isn’t great, but very good. You should have no problem getting in.

@SailorAndCoke Thanks for the response! Yeah my GPA should be higher tbh but I I was trying to get through classes and took cal 2 during the summer and made a B. You should most definitely get in though!
Have any idea when we should hear back from UT?

@DaveCloud I actually just had a UT admissions counselor come to my school, and she said that admissions decisions will be out between June 15 - July 1st. :frowning:

@SailorAndCoke Ohh my, I better find a way to calm down this anxiety or its going to be a long couple of months :-S

Has any external transfers for the College of Fine Arts heard for fall 2016 yet? I know some freshman have heard for the Theatre Studies program (my major) and I’m getting worried.

@SailorAndCoke JUNE 15 - JULY 1ST??? Oh my goodness idk if I can wait that long. I thought we were supposed to find out late April/early March?

@SailorAndCoke early may*

@golf1234 There were a good chunk of people in last year’s thread that didn’t get an acceptance until late June :(.

Found this post based on people from the 2015 thread by @MyUTAustin on 5/30/2015

Overall Decisions: 57 of 134 Accepted, 3 Rejected

Week of 4/13 – 4/19: …13 Accepted
Week of 4/20 – 4/26: … 8 Accepted
Week of 4/27 – 5/3: … 5 Accepted
Week of 5/4 – 5/10: … 2 Accepted
Week of 5/11 – 5/17: …8 Accepted
Week of 5/18 – 5/24: …3 Accepted & 1 Rejected
Week of 5/25 – 5/31: …18 Accepted & 2 Rejected

Let’s hope it ends up being earlier than the June 15 - July 1st figure.

Hello Everyone!!!
Was going to wait to post after March 1st, but I wanted to let everyone know that I talked to admissions as well. They confirmed that June 15th is the date they want to try to have all decisions made by but it could be like last year where we are waiting passed that. I hope not lol.

Interesting stats. Thanks for posting! @cowtongue

June 15 is so late. If i get into to anywhere else, I would have to decide whether or not I’m going to go there or not. If you look at the other thread, youll see that there were people who went to A&M just because the decision deadline was approaching and they still hadn’t gotten their UT decision yet.
